Going to a good college just got cheaper

College partnerships allow students to earn degrees from private universities at lower cost. Students transfer to specific private universities after graduating from a two-year community-college program.

Examples: Cumberland County College in New Jersey has a transfer agreement with Drexel University in Philadelphia. Maricopa Community College in Arizona has agreements with Arizona State University and University of Arizona. The average tuition at a two-year school is about $1,905 per year, compared with an average of $19,710 for a private university.
