529 College Savings Plans vs. Roth IRAs

According to an article in The Wall Street Journal ("More Parents Are Becoming 529 Dropouts," November 11, 2009), after the 2008/09 market collapse, some investors--and financial advisors--have reduced their reliance on 529 plans.
